Maintaining a certain temperature is essential for many delicacies. In a boiled vanilla cream, the egg must not curdle, if chocolate is too hot, small lumps form and to prevent the formation of germs in ice cream, various ingredients must be added at the correct temperature. With this digital thermometer, with a practical 14 cm probe length, accurate measurement is no problem.

Digital insertion thermometer, 14 cm

The digital insertion thermometer with a practical probe length of 14 cm is perfect for precise tempering of couverture. The stainless steel penetration needle can be used to measure temperatures of liquid and soft masses from -26 °C to +250 °C. This thermometer is therefore suitable for liquid and viscous masses from the food and hobby sector; we particularly like to use it for melting couverture, chocolate and cake melts. The digital insertion thermometer also has a helpful timer and temperature alarm. The thermometer can be used as a stand-alone device or placed on a magnetic surface using the magnet.

Digital penetration thermometer - Application

Prepare all the ingredients for your creation. This could be an ice cream base, a vanilla cream or the dough for a loaf of bread, for example. If you want to melt or temper a chocolate-like mass, place it in the tempering device or over a water bath. You can then switch on the insertion thermometer and place or hold it in the mixture. At least one to two centimetres of the probe should be immersed in the mixture.

Give the thermometer some time and then read the number on the display. If the mixture is heated on the stove, for example, stir it a little every now and then. This will prevent it from burning on the bottom, as well as a falsified measurement due to irregular heat distribution.

Finally, the insertion probe can be cleaned with running water and a little washing-up liquid. Do not hold the entire thermometer under the water, it can easily be cleaned with a damp cloth.
