Cookie cutter set - Application
Choose a paste from which you would like to cut out the snowflakes. You can use marzipan or flower paste, fondant, Massa Ticino and modeling chocolate are also suitable. Use a different base depending on the mixture. For the sugar masses, a little baker's starch will prevent them from sticking to the work surface. A silicone mat is also a good choice.
Now roll out the mixture thinly. Depending on how you use the snowflake, it will look better if it is slightly thicker or nice and thin. Once you are happy with the thickness, you can cut out the shapes using light pressure. Then press the ejector down once to imprint the center. The snowflake is then pressed out with the ejector.
The individual flakes can also be decorated further. Use an airbrush to create elegant color gradients, brush the fondant with a little light blue powder to give it a frosty sheen. You can also add a small dab of egg white icing to the center and stick a second, smaller snowflake or a silver pearl on top.
