Description

Florist ribbon white

Originally, florist ribbon was used for tying beautiful arrangements and bouquets in flower stores. Here, too, the field of application is quite similar, only here petals, flowers and leaves of flower paste and fondant are tied together. The individual parts strung on wire can be easily arranged as desired and the wire is hidden. Depending on the color of the ribbon, you give it the appearance of a brown branch or a green stem.

Application - Florist ribbon

Florist tape is stretchable, colorfast and has a waxed surface. Since this is water repellent, the tape is ideal for working with food such as cakes and fondant. To begin, you need to prepare the petals. To do this, thin petals of flower paste are nicely shaped, strung on floral wire and set aside to dry. For a more realistic look, the leaves are shaped somewhat irregularly and in different sizes. In addition, they can be painted with powder paints or mica.

The individual petals are then assembled into a flower and arranged and fastened with the wires. With the help of the wires, several flowers or individual green leaves can then be tied together to form a branch or flower arrangement.

Of course, it is also possible to put a floral wire in a flower cone and model a flower on the basis of it. Flower cones are the perfect basis for the curved shape of various flowers. In addition, the arrangement of the leaves is a little easier this way, and beautiful roses and other flowers are created.

Once all the wires are twisted as desired, it's the turn of the ribbon. Choose the appropriate color, light or dark green for a flower stem, brown for a branch, and start winding. The ribbon is stretched a little and placed as tightly as possible around the wire. Then wind tightly and always overlapping a little. Only by stretching and pressing the tape adheres properly, so you can also slightly correct again, if necessary. The florist's tape is wound around all the wires like this and always tightened and pressed on a little. Arrived at the top of the flower, the wire is completely dressed, it is again well tightened and pressed tightly, then you can simply cut the tape and it holds by itself.

The finished arrangements and branches are perfect for decorating cakes.
