DeBeukelaer cornet waffles, 8 pieces
Did you know that the average person consumes almost 8 liters of ice cream per year? And the most popular flavor? Chocolate ice cream, of course! This makes us particularly happy, because we also love a deliciously cold chocolate ice cream in summer. Perhaps you've already made your own ice cream in the ice cream maker and left it to chill in the freezer. Now all that's missing is the right moment to enjoy it with the family. Homemade ice cream simply tastes best from a crispy cone and there is no additional packaging waste. One of the most sustainable ways to enjoy ice cream. These crispy, sweet cornet wafers from DeBeukelaer are ideal for up to two scoops of ice cream, even with cream and sauce. Whether creamy milk ice cream or refreshing fruit ice cream, the crunchy wafer complements every flavor perfectly and ensures a harmonious interplay of melt-in-the-mouth and crunchy. Quality that you can taste - and hear - with every bite.
Easy to use with an ice cream scoop
In the case of ice cream scoops, a basic distinction is made between the tong scoop, the lever scoop and the ice cream dipper, also known classically as an ice cream spoon. While a spatula or scraper is traditionally used for Italian gelato, with which the ice cream is spread directly onto the cone, scoops are still used in many ice cream parlors. It is not for nothing that they jokingly say: Don't trust an Italian ice cream parlor with an ice cream scoop. Despite this tradition, the ice cream scoop is practical to use and ensures even, beautifully shaped scoops. Because in addition to taste, appearance also plays an important role. As we all know, you eat with your eyes!
How to make perfectly portioned scoops of ice cream
After making your homemade ice cream, it should be left to freeze in the freezer for around 2 hours to give it the right consistency. As it can become quite firm, it is advisable to leave the ice cream mixture at room temperature for around one minute before scooping. Have a bowl of warm water ready. Before using the stainless steel ice cream scoop, rinse it briefly in warm water. Warming it up ensures that the scoop comes out of the spoon more easily and has a nice, smooth surface. Place the scoop on the edge of the ice cream container, dip it gently into the mixture and pull it towards you in one smooth movement. The rounded shape of the scoop automatically forms the ice cream mixture into an even ball. Place the scoop on the cone, turn the scoop over and, if necessary, operate the mechanism to release the ice cream cleanly. Press the scoop lightly into the cone so that it sits firmly. Before the next portion, you should briefly dip the scoop into warm water again. These cornet waffles are particularly suitable for one to two scoops and therefore offer the perfect ratio of ice cream and crispy waffle.
