The best Halloween baking gives everyone a little fright: bat biscuits, monster cupcakes with sugar eyes, chocolate pumpkin pralines. In Autumn & Halloween you will find cookie cutters, baking and chocolate moulds, edible decorations, stencils and packaging – plus a separate range for anyone who prefers autumn with foxes and hedgehogs. Order by 4 pm and we dispatch the same day by Swiss A-Post.

What will you find in Autumn & Halloween?

The range is split into seven sections, so you can go straight to what you need:

  • Autumn & woodland animals: more than 90 items featuring foxes, hedgehogs, owls, deer and squirrels, autumn leaves, mushrooms, nuts and apples – for biscuits, chocolates and cakes without the scares.
  • Halloween decorations: edible decorations to place or scatter, from sugar eyes and sprinkles to edible blood, chocolate transfers and wafer paper toppers.
  • Halloween cookie cutters & embossers: more than 40 cutters, sets and silicone embossers with bats, ghosts, witches' hats and pumpkins, plus 3D cutters for a coffin and a pumpkin.
  • Halloween baking moulds & cupcake cases: silicone moulds with pumpkin faces and cupcake and muffin cases in black, orange, green or with a spider's web.
  • Halloween chocolate moulds: praline, silicone and bar moulds for pumpkins, skulls, spiders and cats in couverture chocolate.
  • Halloween party supplies & packaging: plates, cups and straws for the table, a bat curtain for the door and, for gifts, clear bags, praline cases and a pumpkin-shaped biscuit tin.
  • Halloween stencils: stencils for cakes and biscuits, airbrush stencils and cappuccino stencils with pumpkins, witches and skulls.

Planning a wizard party instead? Cutters, cupcake cases and partyware with Harry Potter and wizard designs are gathered in Harry Potter & wizards.

Halloween baking with children – or properly spooky

With children, the best ideas are the ones that work quickly and look like Halloween straight away. A few suggestions from our bakery:

  • Cut-out biscuits: a buttery shortcrust dough hardly rises and keeps its shape. Chill it for at least an hour and even bat wings will cut out cleanly. Only decorate once the biscuits have cooled completely.
  • Monster cupcakes: chocolate batter in black cases, a swirl of green or orange frosting and two sugar eyes. Children love putting the eyes on themselves.
  • Moulded chocolates: even small hands can pop the pieces out of a silicone mould. The key is tempered couverture, otherwise the chocolate turns dull. A good place to start is our super-easy Halloween chocolates.
  • Truly spooky: for a grown-up party, a few well-placed effects are enough. A few drops of edible blood on white frosting, or chocolate skeleton hands reaching out of a cake, make more of an impression than a thick layer of decorations.

Autumn baking: woodland animals, pumpkins, nuts and chestnuts

Not everyone wants skulls on their dessert plate. For autumn biscuits shaped like maple leaves or squirrels, a woodland birthday cake or walnut-shaped chocolates, head to Autumn & woodland animals. The pumpkin bridges both worlds: as a cutter, as a praline mould or as a pumpkin face from the silicone mould. Nuts and chestnuts belong in every autumn bakery anyway. The walnut praline mould is made for a nut ganache filling, and a chestnut mousse can be frozen in a silicone mould and released with every detail intact.

Quick to make and a favourite with children: our moist hedgehog cake.

Frequently asked questions

How far ahead can I bake Halloween biscuits?

Buttery shortcrust biscuits keep for around two weeks in a well-sealed tin. Only pack iced biscuits once the icing is completely dry. Cupcakes with frosting, on the other hand, are best made the day before or on the day of the party.

Is everything in Halloween decorations edible?

Yes, the sugar eyes, sprinkles, edible blood, chocolate decorations and toppers made of wafer paper or wafer are all meant to be eaten. The cupcake toppers, balloons and party items from the party supplies section are not edible, and neither are the figurines sold as cake toppers in Autumn & woodland animals. Remove them before cutting the cake.

Can I give homemade chocolates and biscuits in the Halloween packaging?

Yes. The Halloween clear bags and praline cases are food-safe. Only pack biscuits that have cooled completely so the bag does not steam up, and put each chocolate in its own case so they do not stick together.
