A chocolate high heel is a gift nobody forgets in a hurry: for a best friend’s birthday, as a surprise at a hen party, as a showpiece at a wedding or for Mother’s Day. In this category you will find more than 50 items to cast, decorate and wrap your own chocolate shoe.

What do you need for a chocolate shoe?

  • High Heel chocolate mould: small and large, for casting the shoe in couverture chocolate.
  • Bar moulds: the rectangular chocolate bar casting mould in small and large. Set the finished shoe on a freshly poured bar while it is still soft: it sticks fast and cannot topple over. The small bar goes with the small shoe, the large bar with the large one.
  • Lace with Cake Lace: Cake Lace Mix white in 200 g and 400 g, Cake Lace Paste gold and 30 silicone border and decor mats, including Romantik, Ophelia, Jugendstil, Blumentraum, Schmetterling and Vintage Bows.
  • Metallic and glitter: metallic powder colours in gold, silver and bronze (25 g), metallic pink and dark gold (3 g), metallic red, plus glitter powder colours in silver white, red and orange (2.5 g).
  • Shine: edible shine spray and glaze for the finishing touch.
  • Packaging: the small High Heel transport box for the small shoe with its bar, and large clear bags with a gold base.

Tips from our kitchen

  • Temper properly: only well-tempered couverture chocolate shines and releases cleanly from the mould. Our recipe Tempering couverture and chocolate correctly shows you how.
  • Polish the mould: rub the clean, dry mould with cotton wool before casting. Every fingerprint will show on the finished shoe.
  • Prepare the lace: spread Cake Lace into the silicone mat, let it dry and peel out the delicate lace. That way the decoration is ready as soon as the shoe has set.
  • Apply powder dry: dab metallic and glitter powders onto the set chocolate with a soft brush. You will find more shades among our metallic powder colours.

Frequently asked questions

Can I learn how to cast a high heel?

Yes. In our chocolate high heel course in our kitchen in Adliswil you cast your own shoe with expert guidance. Dates are shown in the course list.

Why is the large High Heel mould cheaper than the small one?

The small mould is a professional polycarbonate mould supplied with magnetic clamps. The large one is made of sturdy plastic, which is why it costs less.

How do I pack the shoe?

The small High Heel transport box holds the small shoe together with its small bar and keeps it safe on the way. For handing it over, a clear bag with a gold base looks especially elegant.

Which occasions does a chocolate shoe suit?

A hen party, with more ideas in our hen party category, a birthday or a thank-you for Mum. For further inspiration, see Valentine’s Day & Mother’s Day.
